I would love to be the rich kid who gets that for Christmas if it ever gets produced.

@peat moss- I had gliders too, and I always had to get them out of trees. :(

Or...you could get your PPL and actually go fly a plane :)

you could get your pilot's licence for a lot less than the cost of that plane. (at least I am assuming that that plane would cost more than $5000 usd) however, over time the real plane would end up costing a lot more than that plane. it all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

I hope the "new age" soundtrack is not compulsory with the equipment.

That's what my previous post referred to.

Mine cost $6,000 CAD (originally 8k but my Air Force buddy's father runs the flight school :D ) total, taxes and all so it wasn't bad at all. Have 500 hours under my belt IFR included, was gonna get my dual engine rating but no point right now (money plus its pointless cuz I'll be learning it in a year for free thanks to the tax payers).

Speaking of which, I've always wanted to get into like just recreational flying, you know, go up for the weekend when you don't have anything to do. Does anyone know how much it would cost to buy like an old Cessna? And no I would not buy it now that's just stupid, maybe 5 years down the road.

Over $12600 US but less than $21000 would be my guess.

NICE  bet it'll take a lot of maintenance though but I'm up for the challenge. Gotta start reading up on some of the terms though (I know how to fly and work the plane....I just don't know what part is better than the other, i.e. which radio company is best etc. some of these ebay ads are talking about diff types of radio, engine, etc.)

I think the engine is more important than the radio. ;)

nah, radio is kind of important, if you get on radar of a air base, then they will shoot you down, if you cannot make contact...

I don't think questions like "how may rpm does the radio run at" is going to fool anyone. :dabs:

I thought you were the buyer. Are you planning on tricking yourself?

I would recommend that you get someone with extensive experience to assist you in this sort of purchase.
