u no if i buy a DVD-R 4.7gig disc so i need to have a DVD - Rewriter to burn data on it not a movie.
or can i use my normal cd writer or dvd rom?

to write a dvd a dvd-rom is not enough

Yes, you need a DVD burner to make DVD-R's. I've seen them for under $200 already.

Yeah, the prices have come down alot. I've had mine for a while, paid $261, with no complaints. :)
