There's really no point in a user with no axx to have prechan axx. If you see something pre, you can't really do anything about it. Just watch the sites you are on to see if they uploaded it. With that, you have the option of snatching the file as opposed to see something pre and still wait to see if it's even uploaded or not.

yes there are public pre channels,lots of them on irc although they usually dont last long but 1 can easly find them.

this notice came out 2 days ago: Public.PreAnnounce.Channel.Efnet-iND
and those notices are always popping out.
i would post the channel but nah they shouldnt be public and torrent sites shouldnt have them either imo. because if they are real uploaders then they are already on a "site" that has all the info they need.

#pred is much more readable...and there aren't 2 bots announcing the same stuff ;)

There is also one on p2p-network (#preinfo) that I find better since it gives the size and number of files for many releases.

But yea, it's a bit useless if you don't have ftp access (which I don't have, either)

Cool, im in #pre, #pred and #preinfo at the moment. I like #preinfo the best because it has the size and number of files (can come in handy when requesting something on usenet :D)

Another site that tracks Pre's is www.nforce.nl (http://www.nforce.nl)

You can create a account and just keep tabs on the info you want. Like Xbox, Games etc. Its not as fast as a Pre bot but if you just want to be informed throughout the day of whats available, this sites pretty good.

lol, of course, but there u can actually meet them and offer them something, like 100mbit line or server for private use or unreleased stuff u got.

and trust me, acc at some good or best torrent site is nothing when u compare it to axx at topsite or some acc at some very good dump ftp.

but actually to get an axx there u have to know the person who owns such site ect...

and the easiest way to do that is just to idle at several pre channels and offer some scenres who r they some realy good deal, otherwise it's just a waste of time ( read. if u have nothing to offer just stay at a torrent level)

i could set up a temp. pre-chan which only echoes pre's and no searching -AND- another channel where it tracks over 40+ RSS feeds of various sites. let me know if you guys are interested...
