Check this Seagate drive out. (http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=6335759)

Look at all the prices and then look at Foxtec. That price looks very suspicious for a hdd that size and speed. I might buy this instead of the 10k rpm Western Digital if its real.

Heres another one even cheaper on the site. (http://www.foxtec.com/products/view.asp?ID=4690)

That just can't be right.

Has to be scam, they're just trying to attract you to their site, and then when you try to order it the site will read out of stock...jeez I wonder why.

From what I read, there is a good chance that this "new drive" will arrive with someone else's data already on it.

Wow, every single review posted about Foxtec is "Very Dissatisfied".

I don't think I've ever encountered a merchant that had 100% negative feedback. I'd steer clear of them. :yup:

PriceGrabber's user reviews has them rated 4.13 of 5 - all time.

EPinions only has one review (http://www0.epinions.com/pr-Online_Stores_Services-Foxtec_Corporation).

Before anyone even considers drives like that, they should check the interface

Ultra SCSI 320

and then check out the price of a compatible controller card.

I wish I knew what you just said.

Lynx simply pointed out that you're looking at SCSI drives, not PATA/SATA.
You'll need a good quality SCSI host card to run the drive.

It's worth noting as well that the first drives you linked to are "pulls", almost certainly used parts from servers (whose drives are typically replaced on a timetable, irrespective of condition).

Unless you invest in a reasonable host card (and don't forget the cables- SCSI cables are expensive too), your performance could be worse than a SATA II drive.

Foxcon got taken off the list now and Spartan Technologies (http://www.spartantech.com/product.asp?PID=ST3146854LW&m1=pg) is selling this drive for about $150 more than them, I wonder if they are legit too, lol.

Condition = PULL ??? What does this mean? "Pull" a fast one on a sucker?
Mfg. Warranty Period: None !!! HMMMM (I'm guessing none = no vasoline)

it means that it is used- it was pulled from another computer. Considering what kind of drive it is, it was probably a server drive, which are usually replaced according to a schedule, before they fail. It still works, so they are selling it used.
