Grainy Looking Videos

Hi Guys

I have quite a few video clips, xxx rated and music videos etc.

Quite a few of them come up on my screen quite large and with a sort of grainy look, more specifically a sort of criss-cross pattern of very thin black lines.

Is this a function of the video codec or my video card (nil- on motherboard).

the grainy look is probably low rez videos that u are trying to blow up to fit the size of ur monitor. the criss-cross lines mite be due to a codec complication. are u using ffdshow? if so, turn off divx5 thru ffdshow. there is a fix/patch of some sort for this prob (not black lines though. mostly green), but don't have the url right now.
