A cure for the dreaded Quicktime Installation Error 1316

Yes, if you get "error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from file \windows\installer\quicktime.msi", then I have a solution for you.
Just discovered it today and I'm so happy about having quicktime back after a month that I wanted to share the info.

Get Windows Installer CleanUp Utility: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml and remove Quicktime. Removes the error and allows quicktime to install once agian!

Thanks for the heads up Wolfmight but can 't help but think why use Quicktime when you can use Quicktime Alternative ? Or better yet a Kodec pak with all the goodies like Realcrappy player included .

i have never seen nor have i ever gotten that error. like said above... i use qta. that's the reason?
