Is there any difference between a DS and DS Lite, other than the size.

Can the latter do stuff that the former can't.

They do list some improvements here, on wikipedia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ds_lite)

Nothing revolutionary, tho'.

EDit: I am getting the impression it'll be harder to break, tho'.

Cheers again SnnY.

I'm really just interested in what it can do rather than the aesthetics or minutiae

Then it really doesn't seem to be any difference, plays the same games and all that.

In the wikipedia entry there's some third-party tool, originally for the game boy advance, the DS lite, but not the original DS can use. Prolly something used for cheating in one way or another.

And there's the adjustable light levels, which may or may not be considered a software-difference, and prolly somewhat useful when playing some games.

Might help preserve someone's eyes as well :dabs:

bleh, it's not a third-party tool: E-Reader. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-reader)

Don't think it's available in europe tho', so it shouldn't be anything you need to take into account.
