How Do I Play Bin File

i have downloaded x men 2 but it is in bin file format how do i translate that into a media file so i can watch it?
i'm baffled i was told to install winrar but that hasnot made much difference
any help guys ????? :unsure:

a .bin file is an cd image

You can't just play it, you have to burn it on a cd (see FAQ)

After that you'll have a SVCD format movie. You can play that on a stand-alone DVD player or on your PC.

I have heard that it´s possible toplay a .BIN with VideoLAN but I got no .BIN so I can´t try it.

Ok, I see this cue/bin everywhere and it like i am always explaining now u have another problem as well because u don't have cue file so most likely u got that off of kazaa so search for a .cue file if it doesn't have u will have to make one using notepad but if u do find one and u have nero buring rom or CDRwin your in luck but since i use nero thats what i will explain now open nero close wizard if it pops up and clik file then go to burn image then go to the folder where your cue is located (make sure the bin is in the same folder) then clik burn and i will burn your bin to cd whatever it was supposed to such x-men in this case is what it will be. Also i have not heard of an x-men2 in a .bin file but i don't know it could be. So thats how u do it. To learn how to make one download one and open it up with notepad. Peace out.

ok i tried the nero way but it says after disk analsyse
cannot write compilation with this recorder
the file is 787 mb does that mean i need to buy a cd-rw
i am using cd-r at the moment

Ok, man look go to the menu and choose recorder it should be two things that come up your burner and a image recorder clik the image recorder then try again :ph34r:

Now burn to the disc anyway i just thought about that it should have used your normal burner but since it didn't go to cd-rom iso and choose your image then burn

the cd-r only holds 700 mb the file is 878mb
any ideas??

Are you using a 80 minute CD-R ? Because a 74 min one is too small.

What type of burner do you have?

man just burn it on a regular 80 min 700mb cd it should hold it if not your out of luck

im using a 80 min cd-r
but file is to big can i compress the file in any way?
i have a lg rewritable and im using nero 5.5.7.6

CD Images and (S)VCD are burned a little different as normal data. That way there will fit 800 MB on a 700 MB CD-R.

So that should not be the problem.

Well you should just be able to burn it fine on an 80min/700MB CD. You are burning it as a disk image, not a data CD right? Select burn disk image, then select the .cue file that came with the .bin file

But seeing as you have problems with that, download VideoLAN from the downloads section here (http://doa2.host.sk/), then in VideoLan select open file and choose the .bin.

Man, tell me what u have done so far everything that u just did from beginning to the end also i really don&#39;t know y u r going through all this because like i said i have never heard of one x-men 2 .bin files especially from kazaa there would be two seperate ones cd1 & cd2 :angry:

i didnot get this from kazaa i got it from another verified site as soon as i get it working there will be a good copy of x men 2 on kazaa i share always ,at good speed i am looking forward to being the first person to share a real copy of x men 2
i am downloading videolan at the moment i &#39;m just going to see if that works.

not sure if this will help or confuse, but here goes.
firstly i just downloaded my first BIN file(Autocad 2004) i used Fireburner 1.7 to burn this 400meg file just to see the files and view the exe for installation. all files were there so install was similar to normal RAR method.
i use Nero for burning and 90 minute cdr for your file size. Nero will safely do overburn(ignore warning message)A 90 minute cdr will do the job after you change preferences to facilitate larger disc.

No you don&#39;t need a CD-RW.


Go to File > Preferences > Expert Features

Enable overburning and set the max disc length at 82 minutes.

Just share it through someone should be able to get it and when u post put more info in you posts like the filename just don&#39;t post little by little. so problems can be solved quicker reply with the filename and get on kazaa and i will search for it.Peace out
