you should have free access to a newsgroup with your isp
who is your isp?
if not, you can sign up for a pay server, however you need a credit card for that

Download Grabit from HERE (http://www.shemes.com/)

It's nice and easy to use for binary files. You'll need to know details of your ISPs news server - if you don't know these details, check their FAQs or just ring 'em and ask.

Grabit's pretty useless for posting/reading text-only groups but great for downloading stuff.

A lot of newsgroup posts (movies etc) are compressed as .rar files so you'll need a copy of WinRAR from http://www.rarlab.com/ to decompress and join the segments.
