Every now and then my firewall throws up a message telling me that someone is trying to set up a Virtual pathway network to my computer,is someone trying to track/hack my computer or what?

If your firewall sees it, it is a good thing.
You could try to fiind the ip if it is very specific and block it.

If you are using McAfee, then I am sure you can track the IP of the person who is trying to set it up.
