...that isn't crap. :dabs:

I really want to hear some proper justification for why they aren't crap, btw. :smilie4:

If you have to have wireless Logitech makes the best, the MX series are good.

After using several made by Microsoft I was disappointed by the battery life, sp I switched to Logitech and went through two of the MX models. The first one worked great but eventually the mouse stopped charging (problem with the electrical contacts on the mouse or charging cradle). The second Logitech model I got worked great for a few months but then started dropping characters randomly as I typed.

Finally I got fed up with all the problems of wireless and went with the Microsoft Natural 4000 keyboard (corded) and Logitech Corded MX500 mouse, I have not been disappointed.

Ironically I just set up a home theatre PC and need to go shopping for another wireless set, I'll probably try another Logitech and see if they have improved.

why do you want it wireless... it has delay, eats batteries & can get lost :-)

I find myself to be experienced in trying to find a good wireless keyboard and mouse. I have tried a couple of microsoft ones with no success. I tried some cheap brands from a local pc shop. None were great. I then purchased a Logitech S510 media setup. This thing has great range. It's easy on the batteries, and it is very compact without loosing the 9key (which I need for work). Below is a link. Not the best price, but I like it.

Why not try a cherry wireless, they've always been the best keyboard developers

The logitech mx1000 is the best mouse I've ever had. It's wireless with a rechargeable battery, which lasts a few weeks at a time btw, and its really fast and precise too, never had a single problem with it.

What's so hawt about it? It looks like your standard $4 keyboard with a couple extra buttons below the space bar directly under you palms to get in the way. :ermm:

Didn't notice the first glance.

I really liked the fact that it was wireless but had a cord to charge an internal battery instead of the usual AA batteries. :)

Oh, the only bad thing about the mx1000 is if your left handed like me, its excessivley shaped for a right hand, but I got used to just holding it weird in my left...

i can only speak for wireless mouse, i would not try it again. waste of money, mouse was too heavy with the battery, and mine just froze most of the time. and it almost cut on fire ones ( not to scare u) because i used the wrong battery not the rechargeable one and i smelled smoke. plus take into account i have a laptop it was just not convience.

I use a logitech y-rk56a keyboard and mouse, would recommend them to anyone.
Have got rechargable batteries in both and they're very durable, they've crashed onto a laminated floor countless times(I've got 2 youngsters!) and only had to take them apart twice to fix.:D

Not bad at all.

Post back with whatever you decide on. I've been looking too, but I can't reach a decision without looking at it in real life. I have to go to the store and test it first. :dabs:

I like this one.

I can't find the equivalent keyboard or combo anywhere on Logitech's site, but the mouse is functionally, and almost physically, identical to the Cordless Click Plus Rechargeable.

I particularly like the forward/back buttons right under my thumb.

I'd go with Logitech MX3000 keyboard/mouse combo... A very nice keyboard with plenty of extra buttons (all can be reassigned through Setpoint btw), and a really great and classy looking mouse... Only downside is no recharging base for the mouse, so you'll have to buy new batteries for it every once in a while or get yourself some rechargeables... A good buy nonetheless.

I was looking for a new keyboard in Futureshop and the only one i liked the look of and had all the features i want (not many to choose from unless i get a combo which i don't need) had a really bad feel to it. The keys were too loud/sticky seeming.
So i didn't buy one, going to look somewhere else next week.

So anyway, I got this for Christmas :dabs:

It's very nice, soft, quiet keypresses, wireless has a good range, and it seems very reliable. There's no lag between keypresses and the letters appearing on the screen. It also has low battery indicators on both the mouse and the keyboard. The mouse is nice too.

My only gripe with it is that it is very flat, even with the little legs extended. I'm going to have to get a slopey thing to put underneath it on my desk. Also, there's no LEDs on it saying whether caps lock or num lock is on, I guess this is to conserve power. Hence you have to press the buttons and a message appears briefly on the screen telling you the current state.

I guess I should have listened to those people that said try it out in the shop first! :)

Still, I'm quite pleased with it so far.

However, I got the rechargeable mouse version which has LEDs in the wireless base station/mouse charger.

I wish someone would tell me how to turn those messages off though. I used to be able to do it, but there was a software update and that option seems to have disappeared now. :(
