Interesting, I never knew this was on the cards :o

I think I prefer IPB, but if it helps the forum then it's all good. :) Nice work.

Whatever helps the forum i'm in favour of. :D

Even if i don't entirely understand what it means.

The board seems to be running nice and quickly in past hour or so,fingers crossed. Thanks again Jon for all your hard work

Might someone be able to explain the differences between phpbb2 and the version we use now? I don't need all the details, just give me the "Bulletin Board for Dummies" explanation. :)

Phpbb is faster...Runs better...And hopefully will have less errors...

The look and functions and stuff of phpbb and ipb aren't all that different, really...
The most noteable difference will be to the mods and admins, those controls are a bit different

Since you know how PhpBB looks like, imagine it with the same areas but just PhpBB style.

Like this (http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/) one, phpBB has loads of mods to add :)

I always preferred IBP to PhpBB. My friend had PHpBB once and I didn't like it. But truth comes to light now, PhpBB seems to be the more versatile and user-friendly board. Heard PhpBB has nicer skins too.
But I'm always on IBP's side.
