I am probably teaching a whole load of Grandmas how to suck eggs now.

I have found I can preview both ISO and RAR files as they download using VLC 0.8.4a

Very useful if there is no sample.

Just use the "any file" or *.* option in filetype and will attempt to unwrap these blighters.

This doesnt work with bittorrent if you haven't downloaded the first 'part' of your download.

True but you can set Azureus to prioritise the first part of a file to speed things up. I assume this is possible with other clients.

Another bit of useful information is that pieces of 512kB or less may not play so you may have to wait for 2 or more adjoining pieces of this size before you see anything.

I am not sure what would happen if the RAR was passworded.
