i dont know if this should go here, but does anyone know how to activate the gracenote music recognition service in winamp3?? under preferences>cd playback.

its supposed to get the tracks for a cd playing or something. its says once enabled, access by opening the winamp browser, but that doesnt work! how do i do it?? thanks for the help! :D

Look under "options". Look for CDDB(compact-disc-data-base, the former name for Gracenote.com). Activate this. This allows Winamp to automatically go to the site and retrieve the Artist and Song(s) info(if available). This info is embedded as a digital signature in most CDs.

If you have a firewall, configure it to allow WinAmp access to the internet.
