I have two 7900GTX's, but want to add a third graphics card so that I can enable both of my monitors with SLI enabled as well.

I've read through the majority of this thread (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=6269), but I still have a question:

The card suggested in the original post of the above noted thread won't work for me, as it won't fit.

My mobo setup is pictured below:

My two current cards are in slots 13 and 15, and they obviously take up two slots/piece. This means I need a card that will fit into either slot 17 or 18.

17. PCI card slot (SLOT6)

18. PCI-Express x8 card slot (SLOT7)

I don't know much about choosing what card of card to get other than it must be ATI, so hence this thread.

The second monitor that will be running from this card will be a Dell LCD, model# 1801FP, so I just need an inexpensive one with a DVI plug.

So gimmie some suggestions!

Purty sure 17 is, not sure about 18, it's really short.

I haven't heard of any pci-e x8 graphics cards.

Since you've ruled out slot 16 I assume the 7900's cover slots 13/14 and 15/16 respectively.

That means that slot 12 should also be available so you could get a pci-e x1 card, but they tend to be a little expensive considering they are really no better than a straight pci card.

If I remember rightly, the extra card needs to be non-Nvidia to meet your requirements. Here's a list of available Ati pci cards from Newegg.
