Torrent site abbreviations with *? F**, F*C

Can someone tell me why some torrent sites have *'s in the abbreviations?

eg. F**, F*C

becuz their names are not to be disclosed publicly

so if I'm a member to a site who say they do not allow trading of invites.. I'd refer to then as F*Z for example??

I think you still can exchange your invites or give them to others as long as you dont post their url and their full name in public, you r fine.

I think that the only people that deserve to know the url are the members other than that whats the point..:huh:

Most sites dont want to attract too much attention so prefer to have their sites abbreviated or even *'d out if they are mentioned.
