Try all 3.

I use XP the most for now. Largest selection of compatible software.

We'll see about Vista when the final comes out.

I mainly use windows xp, i tried out vista when it was like in the beginning beta stages, linux i played around w/ ubuntu, greatest complaint i have with linux is that you have to keep copy + paste stuff into the terminal to install stuff =/ i miss those simple double click next next next installers =]

I have XP, Debian and FBSD though I use Windows XP the most, mainly because of software compatibility.

If you prefer something simple and easy to use, and mainly for entertainment, choose windows. Like others said software compatibility is larger on windows rather than Linux. Although (correct me if i'm wrong) Linux are more secure than windows!

windows will be easier to use both in terms of software and hardware compatibility
