Competed in my city's music festival, it's pretty large with several hundred contestants. Was my first ever competitive performance, played Liebestraum No. 3 by Liszt and got First Place:w00t:

Was really surprised because there were over 20 other pianists (mostly asian:yup:) in my group and somehow I managed to come out on top:happy: I even messed up a couple of octave jumps in the virtuoso section and the adjudicator didn't even seem to care:)

Anyway I'm really happy because I was asked to play at the grand festival in front of several thousand ppl:fear:, should be an awesome experience. Not to mention the not-too-shabby $500 prize money and a potential scholarship if I own some noobs again at the grand festival in Toronto.

Congratulations, mad props, etc., etc.
The dedication and effort required to reach your level of artistry is a rare commodity and should stand you in good stead- not to mention the manual dexterity, which will come in handy when you grow up and become a field laborer.

I wish I could read sheet music,
The only thing I could ever play on a piano was chopsticks
(The Celebrated Chop Waltz)
Sadly I have no longer got a piano as I had to burn it as it was full of woodworm, I was worried that it would spread into the floorboards.
The only thing I play at the mo is my Bass Guitar, got a new tanglewood rebel 4x a few months ago, great sound.
