Ratio cheater ?

I heard ppl talk about the term Ratio Cheater, but I'm not exactly sure what you guys mean.

Can anyone tell me What exactly that words mean ?
and in what situation, we can call someone as ratio cheater.

a ratio cheater is a user that injects their ratio with a false uploaded amount, and usually they leave the downloaded amount the same

If someone use the program to boost with his ratio and it actually appears on the stat. We ( nomal user) can not know unless you are mod/admin of that sites right ?

only members of staff can see if your ratio changed

I caught a few cheaters. In the pear list of a torrent I was upping, one of the leachers was upping a 1gps.. What a dumbass, he got banned.Thats why some sites bann a few clients too..

from what i can gather most private trackers dont like ratio cheats and if there cought using them, most will ban you, so i just wouldnt risk it and do the right thing and upload

seriously, sites have tools to find people who use ratio cheating programs. If your serious about keeping your account, then dont do it. There's no excuse in using a cheating program in my opinion. Not even slow upload speeds.

using such a program is not advised. if u get caught, which u will, then ur account will get deleted, ur i.p banned, and the i.p will most likely be passed around between other site admins. u will then find urself banned in most other places too.

i wish it would be like that, sites cooperating with each other, weeding out those cheaters, but unfortunately its not like this, its more like every site on its own.

the best thing to do would be if a list of blacklisted ips was created who should be available publicly, at all times accessible to all the sites' staff, and permanently updated by them. it should go down like this: ip - site who banned it - reason of ban.

but its a loooong way ahead until that will happen, and site's staff are often self-absorbed, haughty bastards :)

Ratio cheating is pointless, what do you accomplish? So you dont have to seed back a torrent. Oh oh I have a 20 k upload I cant see back. Bullcrap, I had dialup before highspeed. Dial up I used for small program files and music, slowest of all and yet I seeded. Then I moved on to 10 k upload. There is no excuse. But to these guys its all me and not anyone else.

As for sites working together, I know a few that are starting to do that

It's true that you should never been a ratio cheater. However, the thing is as a trader or member who is giving invite out to other by seeing their ratio proof. How do you know if he is a ratio cheater ? so that we can avoid of being disable from the trackers for inviting a cheater to their sites. I guess we just can't and take chances. ;)

All I can tell you is that if a site offers a share credit to help you a user instead of just going by a file ratio why you want to cheat and risk being getting blacklisted in the torrent community.

This Share index/credit type thing that some sites are beginning to implement will help even the person with the slowest connection in the world to be a good member.

Also users have said in the past that leaving Utorrent running with 20 torrents only uses like 6000Kb which is not much at all as far as memory goes and if your not seeding you are only using very little bandwith thats unnoticeble when your on the internet.
