BookWorld Council and MusicWorld Council Members need to get together too discuss this.

Plus we need security from the MODs.....as I have a feeling that Movie World is going to plan a attack on both Councils at the discussion too finally take control of the Galaxy.

;) Yeah you did send me 2.And you really did not sound interested in doing broadcasting of Books.
Or that is what I got.If you meant something else.....then I am sorry.

:D But that is not what this Council meeting is about right now. This is about sister Rooms on SoulSeek.

I'm not able to broadcast books. I don't have a mic. ;) (Nor an interesting accent like UKman, actually.) I did say if you wanted some audiobooks broadcast it would be best to do it CBC-style; devote an hour or so to a specific book and play it through.

I thought SoulSeek was music-only?

:ninja:

Edit to add: I'm going to bed now FC. ;) Don't send me a PM and expect me to respond in 10 minutes. :P

Like me and Razz discussed before.Books are small files so haveing a room on there seems ideal.

But your council of people must sit down and think of what the golden rule should be on Queues and what not.As I know you guys do not what leechers coming in there....just like we do not alowe. :)

Yes...that is what I said also would be the best way.And UKMan has already done this on his BroadCast.

Hey Bender.....been waiting for you too come over there for Months now. :D

Ok.....there are 2 ways you can find a room.First of all you can do just like QuietSilence told you too.It will freeze the program for a few seconds.....just give it time.

Or you can do it this way...which is much easier.

Right click on the list of Rooms in the bottom right corner and select create room.A window will pop up and ask for name...put name of the room in the window and it will take you straight there.
Once inside the rooms right click the chat area and select "Toggle Autojoin".This will have both rooms pop up when ever you start SoulSeek and will not have to go through this problem again. :)

Names of both the Rooms are "KLF MusicWorld" and KLF Bookworld".They have to be spelled exactly like that. :)

Bender

;) You have made it to the rooms.....twice.That is the hardest part.

Really no big lost to us.....as you don't have much files anyway. :P

I mean how you suppose to ever get alot of files if you keep giving up?

__________________________________________________________________________________
I posted a Soulseek Unofficial FAQ (http://slskfaq.d2g.com/) in the MusicWorld database if anybody is haveing problems with the Program.

I have said it before and will say it again too people. This is not a chat room like IRC is.We are Music enthusiasts here and are doing other things.

Either working on our Music collection or are not there at the moment.Messing around with Programs(OrangeCD) to organize your collection, doing or messing around with Radio Broadcast to see how that will go.Or maybe we just passed out Drunk and do not have the strength to get up and type on the keyboard.

A few people there are just sharing and not downloading anything...so they come there and leave for days..sometimes weeks at a time.
If you need too talk to somebody double click their name and PM them.If they do not answer then they are just away from their PC.

But if anybody from here decides not too use it is no big lost to us.A few of us tried E-Mule last night and all 3 of us agreed it was not as easy or as nice as SoulSeek.

I (sorry...We) will always try out other programs if somebody thinks there is something better.Programs for Sharing Music and Books(small files).

this soul seek program is awsome for geting books and music ilove that u can check someone entir list and dl a whole folder at one time :)

ill still stick with kazaa too but this is a great place to find books and music
it only lets u use 1 sorse at a time per file so it can be slower then kazaa but most books and music are such small files it still prity fast and if ur lucky enuf to find a user who has fast upload bandwidth ull get them just as fast as in kazaa anyway

be sides most times in kazaa u only find 1 sorse for most books any way

i have disided to give this progy the QuietSilence seal of aproval :)

IMHO all us bookworlders should have this program as well as kazaa

also there no reasoin u cant run both these programs at the same time this dubbles the chance to get ur files :)

Awesome,

I love SLSK and I love ebooks and audio books.

Any chance of starting up an audiobook room?

I have over 60 unabridged bestsellers! if any one want to trade we can exchange lists and hook up on slsk.

I share with everyone, but for those who only share with people on thier list please add me.

I have two computers hooked to SLSK, one is DJLink@home and the other is just DJLink. I have a bunch of Books between the two copmuters and really good upload speeds.

You can choose to share with everyone or just with your buddies - or both - buddies get first place if there is a queue. If no-ones at the computer, just send a PM to them and they will see it next time they are at the PC. Even if they are offline - you can still send a PM to them and it will show up when they come on-line again.

Just double click on the name in the list - that allows you to send a PM.

Peace
