A Compaq Presario laptop for $300 after $100 in mail-in rebates. I mean, it isn't a powerful monster of a laptop... it's a basic laptop, I should be able to do anything on it, exept play games. Does this look like a good deal? Should I buy it? I can't decide. :dabs:

It's crazy, it's 300 dollars after rebates without Vonage. And, if you buy a 12 month subscription to Vonage, you get the laptop for only $99! :O

I dont want Vonage though, but still, a laptop with 1.6ghz, 512mb ram, 15.4" screen, wifi built in, and a dvd-rw drive... for 300 bucks... seems pretty nice.

I'd rethink that plan.
Not only is the resolution horrible (perfectly fine for a TV picture but your Windows screen will look like it's built from Legos) but you'll have to sit pretty far back to keep from ruining your eyes.

It sucks ass. I was trying to double up (hdtv and computer monitor) but I guess that won't work.:dry:

I relented I bought a 360 on Dell's website.

With all the discounts, the Premium system was $307 with free next-day shipping.

I'll get Gears Of War from Buy.com for $45 (incl shipping) with Google Checkout.

It seems the Dell deal for the 360 is gone now. It initially gave a $60 discount immediately. Wifey was laughing at me cos I wouldn't click 'Submit Order'. She kept saying, "Just buy the damn thing and stop thinking about it."

Now I'm glad I did since they took the discount off the table now. Micro Center had it $100 off....after rebate. I paid $7 more and I get it tomorrow through UPS.

Yeah pretty much, though it takes 8-12 weeks for the rebate to return, if it does at all...

Rebates are just bloated sales tags, with the hopes that the consumer will forget to send in the rebate.

Usually reseepit + rebate form + UPC.

Staples is nice cos when your reseepit prints out, it has a 10 digit (or so) number on it and you just go to their website, fill out your info, plug in the reseepit number, add the items you purchased....and voila!.....that is all.

I have never been cheated with Easy Rebates.

I got everything today that I wanted. The lines were fucking awful and I started at 6am.
