I need help on getting a new hdtv

I want a nice hdtv that is for my xbox 360.

I can only spend about $800.

This one is on you my friend. Everyone is going to give you their idea of the best TV but I suggest doing your homework (google, lots and lots of google) and picking the right one for you and your needs. It's like asking someone to pick out a car for you, it just doesn't work that way.

I spent weeks picking out my TV. Countless reviews, message boards on HDTV specific sites, user ratings on various sites... it's not something you'll enjoy if you don't have the patience for it but if you DO have patience and a little smarts then try finding one yourself.

If that doesn't work? Come back here and we'll tell you what to get. :D

our store used to sell a bunch of HDTVs. I woulda mentioned us if we hadn't discontinued "shipping" tvs. Newegg is god, yes...but UPS is not...and your TV has a good 35% chance of getting damaged in shipment.

Local store would make that a 0% chance. My 2 cents hehe.

Go to AVS Forum. That is THE best forum for that stuff. I've heard good stuff about the Syntax Olevia TV's.

Btw, have you been playing GOW? It's the shit.
