Oink is mostly just albums, and takes a hit to the ratio and Hard drive space in my experience. Is there a private tracker out there that is simple to use, where you can type in a name of a song and have confidence its not messed up by the RIAA, and easy to download? I know how to just get the individual files by only downloading that file when you download the album, but that is a lot of work to download one song. There has got to be a better bit torrent tracker. Or is an open source program like morpheus the best for something like that. Just dont have the same confidence that the RIAA is messing with that. Any insight would be greatly appreciated by the FST community. Thanks.

music is always good on oink and it isnt that hard to just download one song. if you want an easy alternative try limewire, although theres corrupt files, unlike on bittorent.

Bittorent - always good files, fast, easy to get full albums
Limewire - some corrupt files, easy to get one song, no ratio to keep

you are still leaving yourself open to viruses, corrupt files, and the RIAA if you are sharing anything. There has got to be a better alternative than that on some sort of private site where you dont have the same problems.

Most clients will let you pick and chose what files to download. So with some albums couldnt you just load the whole .torrent file into your client then pick and choose the individual songs you want from that album?
