If the pics are of the "front arse," I'd have to agree, purely out of medical curiousity.

One assumes you are starting from the traditional Milngavie Station.

(BTW Milngavie is pronounced "Mull guy")

CrabGirl

Yes from Milngavie to the foot of some mountain or another. I'll know more after Christmas, whether my poor damaged knees are allowed to tread Scottish soil.

@skweeky, Hun boy welcome. I'll probably need a pint or two after that wee strollette.

How far is it loike?

CrabGirl
11-29-2006, 10:43 PM
About 95 miles. Not the hugest distance in the world but the furthest I've ever walked. Plus I only have 28 inch legs.

Gripper
11-29-2006, 10:52 PM
At a guess that would make you 5'6" tall as that's my leg measurement.
Good luck to you. :)

You must have a really long body if you've the same length legs as me.

You walk from Milngavie to the foot of Ben Nevis, Fort William.

If memory serves it's officialy from the railway sation at Milngave to the Woolen Mill Shop in Fort William.

A couple of chums of mine started it on a Friday evening and finished it on the Sunday evening. However 5 days is the more normal timescale.

When I say I'll see you do it old bean, I was more talking about starting rather than finishing. Fuck driving 100 miles in one day, that's just mental.

Did you say it was a sponsorship thing.

Yeh I was actually thinking of doing it the other way and finishing in Glasgow. In terms of ease of getting home I think it would be better. I've been planning on doing it for a few years but something else always comes up. I'm using the opportunity to raise funds for the mental health charity Sane, but it's more the personal challenge.

I've planned it out over 7 days because although I've done a lot of walking, I've never done more than 4 days in a row and I know the last three will be hard going.

Skweeky
11-29-2006, 11:31 PM
Grand idea.

I'm always up for helping the mentally disabled.

That's it sorted then.

JPaul, Hunboy and I shall wait for you at Milngavie station.
