Too bad, I have to ship it back to a circuit city warehouse to get it exchanged.

Why did it die?

Why did it die?I'm not sure, lol. It all started when I got Gears of War and I would get problems like freezing and those little red blocks showing and I would have to restart it and then it would work again. Well, today I played Gears of War and it froze and I tried to restart it and it wouldn't even load the Xbox 360 logo without freezing. The green ring of lights lit up red after it would freeze every time I tried to boot my 360. :(

wow

the warranty's like 30 days too right? damn u microsoftI have a 2 year protection plan - that's why I'm sending it to a circuit city warehouse.

@DjBas- Yeah, lol, a Zalmann cooler in the 360 would def. help. I read tho that in 2007 Microsoft is going to change the manufacturing of their cpus to 65nm, which will make it cooler, and quieter and I guess a little more powerful.

I'm sending it to a circuit city warehouse. That's a shame, I was thinking you could have organised a wake.

If I'm going to play my 360 for awhile, I'm gonna turn a fan on it.

I have heard stories of the 360 getting hot but funny enough this is the first time I've heard of one dying.

I just couldn't bring myself to paying for that intercooler. That was another $25 I wasn't going to spend.

How much did you spend on the extended warranty?

I've never heard that Circuit City would ever offer free extended warranty.

I never heard that I had one.Yeah, Busyman meant that he paid for no warrenty.

I really reccommend you buy a cooler for your 360. A kid in one of my classes in school is already on his fourth replaced 360. Get that Nyko intercooler if it helps. Also, when did you buy your 360? The earlier versions are more prone to overheating.

you can always make it look like it broke!Once the new version of the 360 comes out, I will just cover the air vents and let it overheat.

i heard that the nyko intercooler was too much of a drain on the 360's power supply. i'd find another way to cool the box.

Damn, Circuit City finally accepted my return and I have to wait 3 weeks (or, I guess it said 21 buisiness days (wtf?)) for a replacement Xbox 360 to be shipped to me.

Regular fan. I'd turn it on after about an hour of play.

I just bought it recently from Dell. With all the discounts, I got a Premium for about $300 and free next-day shipping.

I got GOW for $40 from Buy.com (with Google Checkout).

I got The Outfit for $10.
I got Quake 4, Condemned, Gun, and COD 2: Game of the year Edition for $17 each.

That should tide me over for awhile.

I'm pretty sure my 360 just overheated a little too much.
