sis 900 based PCI ethernet prb

for some reason sis 900 based PCI ethernet on my other computer is not working....
if i connect it via wireless internet then it seems to work...
but when i do hardwire connection it doesnt work
my computer serial number is:
MEDION
41773023381343
runnin winxp pro

any help?
