is there any program that i can use to make a full screen slide show for comic books and such

Simplest program is Irfanview :simple but very good and with many functions.
If you want slideshows running from a CD you have to convert all your pics
to a compatible format (most often BMP) also
pixel-size matters .
Look at vcd-easy :www.vceasy.org (tutorial on website).

ms power point is good for this to u can even add moud music in the back ground and set it to do spechal affects and such if u want
