Ya sisco, with Vista's firewall and Microsoft's Antispyware it seems to run seamlessly not my first choice but I'll get over it .

Ok smart ass we found two antivirus programs that work with Vista . :P

It would seem our choices are a little limited ? I'm not trying to be funny VB , but it is a little annoying when you have so little choice .

The limited choice doesn't bother me. I have been using NOD32 with Windows XP for quite some time now. I really like it. So nothing changes for me there.

I'm only using Vista on a spare hard drive and I'm only really testing it at this point anyway. It'll be quite some time before it becomes my main OS if ever.

Well your lucky then VB , I prefer Kaspersky or F-Secure and to be honest just trying Vista as well . Its not just Security programs some of my fav, programs like Tuneup 2006 , Nero 7 .5 or Ccleaner won't work at the moment or have bugs . Theres more but can't remember them all .

Blessing is my hardware is working flawlessy ! All 1900 drivers included on my RTM install disk . :dabs:

Maybe because nobody has heard of it?

Does it really work with Vista? The site says: "ClamWin is a Free Antivirus for Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and 2003.

No Vista mentioned.

"Please note that ClamWin Free Antivirus does not include an on-access real-time scanner. You need to manually scan a file in order to detect a virus or spyware."

"Since Clamwin is a passive antivirus, it cannot scan files by itself. But you can configure some applications, for scanning files automatically when downloaded. "

That kinda defeats the purpose no ? I want my e-mail protected automatically I'm not the only on this computer .

I just tried it and it really is just a basic manual scanner. It's also very slow.

I don't see myself using this installed in any of my setups. Maybe just keep the portable version on my keyring for emergency.

You know VB , I love Open Source programs but this one needs a lot of work .
It only works with three programs ? Flashget , Firefox , Windows Live Messenger for real time scaning , I could n't find a Bittoerent that they mention .

I always read the support forums when I try a new program .
