peace ;)

for music you can find all what you want .. and in 6 steps to sart using usenet :

1. Get a usenet grabber like Grabit @ http://www.shemes.com/download_latest_release.php
2. Get a free account @ Yottanews.com [http://www.yottanews.com:8080/freeaccount.php] for 1 GB/Month and one thread allowed.
3. enter the yottanews account in Grabit ..
4. Go here, @ alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.latin [http://www.binsearch.net/browse.php?bg=alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.latin]
5. make your choice and creat an nzb file ..
6. Load it with Grabit

Yottanews is only for testing .. if you feel that you wanna more speed try Giganews or Newshosting ..

I think it's time someone make a sticky, an easy guide with some brief explanations. I know there are some guides in here but it should be something like this one as it explains plain and simple without referring to X different programs and a bunch of links to "this is how it works" with X numbers of pages.

as you'll see for example in Giganews site :

PrivacyGiganews respects your privacy, which is why we will never share your information with outside parties or track your downloads.

and this rule is applicated with the most known USENET News Servers ..

And if you want a 100% Anonymously Connection Giganews offers an Encrypted connection for you ..

Thanks for these Youcef, I used http://alt.binaries.nl/ before, but for some reason I've been unable to access the site lately, these alternatives are great!

I used the toturial for grabit from here to get me started. I had no idea how to use newsgroups till I read that. Now I stay away from torrents and stick strictly to newsgroups.

Easynews has secure anonymous access through SSL and they are cheap too, $10/10Gigs, Giganews is the only other server that has SSL that I know of, but they are really expensive.

Here is really cool guide that was listed on slyck.com that talks about the the differences between BT and the usenet and tells you from start to finish how to use the newsgroups;

http://www.mantup.com

Hope this helps ;)

Help out FST and get a newshosting account, http://www.newshosting.com/?a=51500
