Sure, I'll be white.
Ill take you on but it has to be real time. I hav no patience for correspondence chess. Whats your rating?

I am an average chessplayer. I do not have an official rating. I have played in a chessclub in my town for one year and ended up in the top 10.
I play chess on the chessbase chess server.
Allright Rip the jacker, let's go!
what is your move?
I play at ICS. Although I haven't played in awhile.

we have a little problem
I played 8. .. d5 (the key move of the accellerated dragon) and not 8. .. e5 ;)
I wanted to insert an image but it says I need to enter an url. I don't know what to do ?
anyway maybe we can go back to move 9 and play on from there?
Barbarossa, I will post my move in not so long time.
MadNurseX, how did you do that picture?
Played the moves on my pgn viewer. Pressed Print Screen. Then cut and paste to irfanview. Saved at as a jpeg. Uploaded the image to imageshack.us. Then linked it to this board. :)
@david02 Sure why not. Just change your 8th move on your next post and we'll play from there

Damn right i like my lady. If the exchange did happen, it would be a queen vs 2 rooks with both sides having both bishops but yours would hav been much more lethal with your dark squared one pointed directly at my king's fortress. I got to study the dragon more. lol.
Anyway, I'm opting for the repetition draw as you seem to hav a very comfy position despite me being a pawn up. (If only i didnt hav my light squared bishop blocking the way)

Ironicly my strong Dragon Bishop saves my day by sacreficing itself. I play the Dragon allways when possible with black and therefor I have a schizofrenic thing that I like my black Bishop better then my white B and try to preserve it as long as possible in all openings :) But in this position I cannot resist.
14 .. Qe1+
ROFL. When u mentioned the bishop sacrificing itself, i didnt even hav to look at the position in my pgn viewer to know that im in trouble. Very nice tactical shot that i overlooked. This is going to be very ugly for me in the next few moves after the Bxb2 sacrifice as i can see your rook occupying the B file plus the light bishop in the a2-e6 diagonal plus being down on exchange.

wow thats a lot of work. I wonder if i can implement in this forum something like those in chessgames.com where theres just buttons one can press to replay/rewind the game at their own speed. Anyway, I resign :( My king is too exposed and my kingside pieces are still undeveloped. Theres no point. Good game though. I ran this through Fritz9 and it actually recommends capturing the 2 rooks starting on the 13th move. Oh well, thats why im just a mere human and not a machine, lol. Let me know if youre interested in playing another one.

Thank you for the game. It was a potential nice fighting game. I wonder what the outcome would have been with the 2R - Q game. I have no clue. probably the stronger player will win.
I am planning to join our local chessclub again in 2007 and I will ask ''our master'' (we have one offical FIDE master in our chessclub hehehe) and others what they think of the position) btw one of the best dutch GM's , Loek van Wely played chess at our humble club when he was a kid. He ofcourse had to move on because he was too good (or the club was too bad) after some time when he became club champion.
Sure I like to play a game again.

By the way, whatd u think of the whole toiletgate incident in the word championship match between kramnik and topalov? Prior to the match i had a lot of respect for topa as an uncompromising attacker who will never settle for an easy draw. That all changed after what he and his manager did in the middle of the match.

That was really not the way to do it.Topalovs team wanted to start a psychological warfare because they were losing but it backfired bigtime. I also was on Topalovs side when the match started but like you and the whole chess world did not like the tricks Topalovs team played. let that be a lesson for future championships.
btw Topalov still dreams about Kramnik he said with a haunted face expression. hehehe

Good he deserves it. But i give kramnik lots of credit. I didnt think he had it him to be a world champ again. I was thinking he was past his prime. I guess not. And he didnt do too bad againts the recent computer match although he lost.

When Kramnik became classical worldchamp my opinion was and still is that he has to proof he is a worthy successor of Kasparov. He can do that by winning a lot of super tourneys like Kaspy did. But I do not underestimate him, he is a stone cold chessplayer and he can win from everybody. Too bad he lost against fritz and really strange he did not see the mate in one.

Yeah that mate in one blunder was mind blowing and he said he simply just missed it. After michael adams very poor performance againts hydra last year, i thought kramnik was the best chance humans had againts the machines. And i was right. Except for the blunder in game 2 and the last game where he really had to take chances to at least draw the match, he drew all the other games which isnt exactly an easy thing to do.

I resign, I'm too many pieces down, and I can't break down your defences, and I don't have any.
Well done :)

thanks for the game barbarossa. after f6 and Qh5+ you allready had a tough game to play. I can give you a tip. don't wait too long to castle so that your king is out of the centre and you can start building your position.
Don't worry about your lose. I am really addicted to chess and I play a lot of games. litteraly thousands 3 minute and 5 minutes games on the internet :) and to be realistic I am not that good at the game. ( I will never become a IM or GM or even a FM) there are people wo take on 5 people at the same time without ever looking at the boards and still win! they just use their memory. It is called blindfold chess.
I will post an animation of the game in not so long time.

I used to play a bit, but I'm very rusty, that was my first game in over 5 years...
I'd be happy for a rematch in a week or two :)

g5 was an excellent move if not that your h5 horsie became unprotected. I was hoping for that nxe5 trick when playing Qe2.
btw
there are a lot of new chess torrents uploaded recently on demonoid.Check it out. I am planning to contribute myself by uploading (parts of the) 17 GB of chess lectures from chess fm and chesslecture.com which I gathered (or should I say scavenged :) ) on emule the last few months. The only problem is that I only have a 300 kbit upload. hehehehe but patience is a virtue ;)

Thanks for the demonoid tip!! i havent visited it in a while as i havent been really serious in chess since last summer because of school. I have lots of opening tutorials that i downloaded from demonoid just gathering dust in my hard drive virtually unused. lol. Dont know if i asked u this b4 but whats ur official/unofficial rating again? I would estimate you to be definitely above 2000 right? I hope thats not too low of an estimate as i dont wanna offend anybody. I know chess players including me are very sensitive when it comes to their ratings. lol.

Hi,
I do not have an official rating. But I am not above 2000 that is for sure. We have just one 2000+ FM player at our chessclub and he is allmost allways clubchamp. He plays in group 1 with 9 other people. When I played otb at the club I managed to reach group 2 in no time but then the opponents became much harder to beat. I estimate my rating otb to be about 1700-1800 I think. On playchess I can beat 1700 - 1800 players in 3 -5 minutes games but I mostly loose because I need more time to think. There is a guy of my chessclub who is a doctor and he has only 1400+ rating on playchess but he beat me otb. A 1900+ player has 2100+ rating on playchess. In Long games (16 minutes and above) I have reached 2000+ once. Finaly I once drew fritz 5.1 in a tournament game with repetition of moves. (yeaahh!) and GM Sergei Shipov said to me I was strong after he played a game with me on kasparovchess.com . (yyyeeaaaaahhhh)

That's true and time well spend. learning from your loses makes you stronger.

Definately true my friend. I used to go to some chess clubs as sad as it may seem....:w00t: and the people there were really good.:O
Also just playing people that are better than you definitely accelerates your learning process. Of course, the better you get, the harder it is to find people that are better than u :)
david02 is a stronger player than me so hes the perfect opponent in my case
I saw this one coming. I really hate that passed pawn of yours now.

I resign. If this is a rapid game id continue on hoping for a mistake. But that bishop just became my permanent tormentor and defeat is inevitable.
Nice game tho i lost again
heres the final position:
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/4981/chess0pm.jpg
Though ive been losing here, my interest in chess has been rekindled due to the break between semesters. Im actually climbing up in the 1900's at ICC (15 min rapid play) believe it or not. i dont know how that translates into over the board play.
i can play another game if ur still willing

Isnt there potential for cheating here?
yeah of course but we play for days and weeks. I doubt anyone would have the patience to cheat that long  And even if someone did, i would imagine that its an incredible waste of time, gaining really nothing :D

chess is not my game. :snooty:
@david i can never play those 1 min games. I dont knw how these guys can move their mouses so fast. I know some of em use progs. i imagine if someone had a touch screen monitor, it would help him a lot. the fastest i can play is 2 min. maybe we should play a lightning game one of these days. :)

That sounds like a good idea. :)
It sure helps to have good reflexes and a good mouse. premove is also mandatory but when people see that, they can use counter measures. I lost my Queen a few times because my opponent played a ridiculous move but because I premoved he could then catch my Q.
