I know how many people really wanna get in to TorrentBytes, but their Signup has been closed for a smaller eternity.

But now the news starting to come.

Here's some pieces of a mail that has been sent to all the members:


Firstly, As site is coming up for it's second birthday, the domain name is up for renewal.
Unfortunately, negotiations for control of the domain have failed and we have been unable to secure it,
therefore we no longer have control of the torrentbytes.net domain name.
This is what has been causing all the recent DNS issues, for which we can only apologise again.
So, over the next week or so we will ask you to update your bookmarks. New Domain to be announced....
We know... it's a bit of knock, but that's just the way it has to be.
Thirdly, Continuing the coding theme, signups will open as soon as the new domain is open and DNS is updated,
and we are confident that the new features will stand up to the influx of new members.
The coders have been working really hard to make these things happen.
We know that progress has been slow, but we are hoping that things will happen a little faster from now on.

TB will be open for sign ups as far as I have read in there forums as for how many I am not sure and also that .info site info might be false since I have'nt heard anything menitoned to that kind of info on TBY.

umm i hate to disagree. the majority of israeli users do cheat... only makes sense to ban the entire country. if it were me, i'd ban egypt and the other surrounding countries as well. oh and also poland because i heard they're full of cheaters too :angel_not

TB.net will remain as the owner is back and will be setting things straight. So I guess there will be a new domain, but the current one stays.

Does anyone know the new URL for torrentbytes? I cant access torrentbytes.net.

Also what about torrentbytes.info? I didnt try my login as I am not sure it is a scam to harvest my password. But I tried out the password recover by mail feature and they did send me a mail to reset my password. When I tried a junk mail id, it said that mail id didnt exist in their database.

So torrentbytes.info might be real, after all. Can someone confirm?

ok, in the start the admins started blocking specific ip's, but after they saw that most cheaters using the same ip range they blocked all of it.
I'm not talking only about Israel, many ip ranges r blocked 'cause of several cheaters who give their county a bad reputation.
if u r a good member & u play by the rules (seed, seed & seed) u can always talk to one of the mods & ask them to open your ip (only if u have a static one ofcourse) or can even donate a couple of $$. this will defently open the doors 4 u.

Cool, I'll give it a shot. The only thing that kept me from doing it was the fact that the Logo wasn't there. It just says logo at the top. At least for me

Hahaha.. not just the logo. The smilies and all the regular category icons are broken. You can always try accessing the page through the DNS IP.. Perhaps that's the safest way if you have any doubts about the .info.. I later accessed through IP and changed my password again.. but then again, .info is real.. just in case I thought but, oh well lol.

And yes the domain will remain the same since the owner has posted on the forums about transffering it to one of the admins and the site is working find for me right now.

.info is their backup domain. But since .net is accessible (please update your hosts file), I don't see any point in using it.

Yeah your right it could be a scam to obtain user and pass but to completely override the account would they not need to know the pass to email so they could change it.:lol:
