You won't get much for around £350.

Did you see the Toerag pulling the 747.

Orsum.

Proper Bo

orsum, orsum to the max

absolutely no need whatsoever to have such a powerful engine in a car that's most likely to be used in shopping trips, like.

That's like saying there's no need to build a car that goes at three and a half times the max speed allowed in the UK.

If I had a car that did 245mph, I'd try at every opportunity possible to drive at 245mph. Fact.

Had the mondeo do 127mph before:smilie4:

speedingFTW

JPaul

There are very few roads fast enough to even try to get near it. There's a couple of nice stretches of the M6 where you could give it a go, in the middle of the night.

You're better in the good ol' ewe essay where they don't do corners.

Even allowing for the 10% over that your speedo shows that would get you an automatic ban methinks.

Proper Bo
12-04-2006, 09:20 PM
Indeed it would have done had I been caught.

I did it on an empty cuntry lane at about 1am. I reckon I could have squeezed another couple mph out of it had I not run out of road.:smilie4:

JPaul
12-04-2006, 09:22 PM
That's the problem, having enough road.

If you ever do it on a motorway the problem is other people getting out of the road. When you go above a certain speed you actually become invisible.

Proper Bo

Ja, though i did once manage over 130 on the A1 once, not in the mondeo, like, twas a volvo s60.

Had to hit the brakes fookin' hard tho' because there was a hidden speed camera.:pinch:

You think you slowed down enough from over 130 after seeing a hidden camera?

I think not.

Proper Bo

My speedo thought so, and so did the lack of fine in the post.

Virtualbody1234

Must have been 130 kmh

Proper Bo
12-04-2006, 09:57 PM
No, I'm pretty certain the speedo is in mph.

How on earth could you make a claim of knowing whether or not I slowed enough in time to not get caught by the camera?

Are you familiar with my reaction times, the stopping distance of that exact car, the condition of that part of the A1 and most importantly, the distance I was away from the camera when I saw it?

To quote JP: Arse.

JPaul

Must have been 130 kmh

That's like 40mph, not a problem on an A road.

the A1 is A1. fact.
