It was a contest from Pepsi, giving away an ipod every hour for a month or so. The bastard won. I didn't.

My friend actual got an IBM ThinkPad from those referral websites. I think he said he needed 20 referrals for it. He basically spammed a lot of forums asking for a referral and got some family members. After filling all the requirements the company wouldn’t give him the laptop due to cheating on the referral, which was bullshit. So he complained to the Better Business Bureau and they forced the company to give him the laptop. You can get an ipod but the company is going to make it a real hassle for you to get it.
