hi all,
just an update to everyone tryin to get x-men2 i've been at it for almost 4 days...keep hope alive!
ok, here is the problem. I downloaded the new KLcodec pack with BS player but BS player won't play .wmv and .asf files i know these are windows media files the latter being the older format. these types of files played before i installed the new codec pack. any help, ideas?
also, where can i get the real player alternative?
thanks

i can play .wmv files. I downloaded the bo selecta! episodes which are .wmv files. When you go to open a file make sure that you click the button at the bottom for all files, not media files and then find the.wmv file and open it.
BS player should be called bullshitplayer ;)

Try Zoomplayer (http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml).

Hey , sometimes(more often than not) even wmplayer can't play these files.
Besides K-Lite codecpack best also to update your windows-mediaplayer-codecs
from M!crosofts site itself.

To play Realmedia-files (rm , ram ,ra) the player must have the (patented) realmedia-engine.
Sometimes this is a plug-in ,myself I like Jet-Audio. ;)

com'mon that's abit harsh isn't it? i use BSPlayer and i can play *.wmv and *asf files fine.
are you sure its all *.wmv and *asf files? or just isolated cases, could just be one off dodgy encoding, maybe - i don't know too much about media files

Get asf tools convert it to avi (this dose not take long i converted a 50mb asf file to avi on a 400Mhz in less then 3min) then play it in bs player or u an jsut play it in WMP.
