im using windows ex pro 2... (dodgy ones) does some 1 know how to get rid of that genuine shit and trick microsoft or something? cuz sence i got it i cant download and install the latest microsoft upgrates...thank you:cry:

if you just want the microsoft updates, download firefox and go to http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/ to download/install updates

I agree, I did.

Its not very much considering you will have an OS for 5 years or so. But I do think they should give you a discount to upgrade to say Vista.

The discount is the fact that you can get the Upgrade Edition instead of the Full Edition, which differs by $100 in most cases.

Still, I think Vista's price is a bit high. $99 for XP Home Upgrade is nice, but $149 for the Upgrade Edition of Home Premium seems a bit high. Good thing I got Vista through work... didn't have that luxury with XP ;)

The thing with "Upgrades" is that I think you cannot do a new install if say you set up a new hard drive.
