Try Picasa (http://picasa.google.com/features/features-edit.html) it's free and has a red eye tool.

Basic Fixes are back – and better.

Picasa's Basic Fixes are buttons that make it fast and easy to crop, remove red eye, fix the contrast and color, and enhance your digital pictures.

There's a nifty little program I picked up from CrystalXP forum. It is called Paint.Net, and replaces M$ Paint (still can access though).

:view: Paint.Net (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html) Check it out, they have screenshots and all, so you can easily look in to it.

What about IfranView? its a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista. It is simple for beginners. :pinch:

Irfranview is the best light weight. Then Paint.net, then Gimp, and the heaviest is photoshop.

I agree with the recommendation of Picasa. It's free. It's a great photo manager, and has good tools for basic things like redeye removal and cropping/rotating. It also has great functions to do things like email photos and make a gift cd. I've set up lots of my non-techie relatives and friends with it and everyone has been able to use it easily and been very happy.
