my friend got banned at OiNK

the reason "cheating"

the only problem is that he didn't cheat :innocent:

(i'm not even kidding, this guy is legit all the way, he would never cheat...who the heck cheats on OiNK anyway, OiNK kicks butt)

he was browsing the torrents and then all of a sudden was logged out.
when he tried to log back in it said "account has been disabled"
WTF... if he didn't cheat, why the heck did OiNK ban him for. now i can't borrow cds off of him and his elite (at least better than mine) connection.

is there anyway to talk to the mods to get his account re-enabled

Tell your "friend" to read the Oink FAQ.

Or just go to the chat section to speak with an admin. http://oink.me.uk/chat.php

I wouldn't worry about it though. Oink sucks and their administrative staff are a bunch of douche bags.

Screw those Napoleons. Your "friend" is better off without them.

When are you guys going to start reading the threads on these topics? There are plenty of threads just in this past week that state how awful oink is, just stop using it. You're better off.

Do you have any suggestions for a replacement of Oink?

Where does one start?

Soulseek is a fantastic place for music.

As far as trackers go -

filemp3.org has lots of rare releases and older selections, and a decent ratio is not laborious like it is with oink.

Trancetraffic is another good one.

Just look around this forum and you'll find plenty of alternatives. I've yet to find an album that's not listed somewhere. :)

Hmmm, you know my friend was banned from Oink too for cheating. He swears up&down that he didn't and his ratio looks normal - I mean its not outrageous or anything.

Start'in to make me wonder.
