View Full Version : Flash "swf" Avatar

Please can somebody give me info on why i can't get it to work.
I have made a .swf for my Avatar, the size is bang on 64x64, i have uploaded it into my ftp, And tested it on a web page using my dreamweaver and it's fine.
But when i put the link into my Avatar settings nothing happens.
Very strange, hope you can advise, thanks

With the current settings it's not possible.
Make it a *.gif file and it will work

In the Avatar Settings it say's, "The follwing file types are allowed" gif, jpeg, jpg, swf, png, Please can you tell me has swf been taken off that list?

Yes I know but You cant have a swf file as an Avatar or in Your sig, and You cannot post thoose files here either.

Question = In the Avatar Settings it say's, "The follwing file types are allowed" gif, jpeg, jpg, swf, png, Please can you tell me has swf been taken off that list?

swf Flash file .swf

Yes it has been taken out, make it a *.gif file instead.

Cheers [B][O][T] for coming back, Well Not to sure on that one as i use flash MX, And the work i did won't be as good.
I take it then the Avatar can not be a swf file, yet it say's it can?

Still it was good Practice on using flash mx with such a small file, I will keep it as a momento :lol:
