I get this all the time 'cos of my name, so let's sort it out here. Which one is best? Anything you think is better, let us know. But only new stuff like, say, Pheonix Nights. No old stuff like Dad's army allowed!

Out of the 3 you mentioned.

Phoenix Nights is the mutt's nuts!

Partridge was better than The Office for easy laughs but The Office did have that uneasy edge to the humour that made it different to the rest.

I gotta say Alan Partridge tops the lot of them. The original show wa the funniest but it is consistently brilliant.

It's shite.

Between Alan Partridge and the Office neither is better.

They are too different to be compared directly.

Both are brilliant.

I know the humour is a tad different (I didn't want to say lower :) ) but I think "Bottom" is bloody hilariouswith Ade Edmonson playing Edward Elizabeth Hitler!!

Father Ted has to be the best recent(ish).

Blackadder was fairly good too but a little bit old by now. Blackadder Goes Forth - Plan F - Goodbye, was one of the best done endings of a comedy series I have ever seen. A funny, witty episode that ends by bringing a tear to the eye. An all time classic.

Anyway, bach to Father Ted, I have to go look on kazaa for the Eurovision episode right NOW! I HAVE to watch this tonight, now I've thought of it!
