Howdo all,
I've got a favour to ask any and all TB users.
Next time you're on the site - could any one of you put in a request to the site admins ?
The request is to make the Web Site available via a port other than 80 - ala SuperTorrents.
Reason being, even with TB having open signups recently, if you as a user are behind a transparent ISP proxy where all web based client requests via port 80 are proxied, TB only sees the proxy IP not your actual IP and won't let you register.
Rather than continue to moan about it seems like the easiest/best solution would be to proceed as above. Shouldn't be too much work for TB and proxied users should still be able to get access/register.
In most cases Web requsts not done via port 80 don't go through the proxy.
Rgds/TIA, r
