I going to get the Maxtor 300GB Ultra16 PATA Internal Hard Drive and a DVD burner but I'm not sure about these PATA/SATA/IDE things. Is there a way to know if that will work on my motherboard? I know how to install it and work it but I have no clue what kind of interface I have.

Right now, I got these in my computer...
CD/RW burner
DVD Rom Drive
148GB HDD

Thanks.

What motherboard do you have?

I highly recommend Seagate over Maxtor.

Your board will support both SATA and PATA, so you can go with whatever strikes your fancy.
