Some years ago I posted some pics on here of my daughter catching the odd shark or two, this isn't a shark, and, unfortunately, isn't edible, but it weighed about half of what she weighs, so altogether a good catch, even if the line did cut her fingers!

There's scarier things down there than cod, believe me, she caught that off the same reef where Steve Irwin was killed.

OK, I just looked it up, it seems they're protected, thus inedible!

Large potato cod, Epinephelus tukula ... Great Barrier Reef, Australia. OK, the cod isn't as huge as it appears but they can weigh up to 100kg. It's one of the grouper family. They feed on fish, small rays, lobster, crabs or nearly anything else they can grab by stealth, darting out from behind rocks is a favorite. An inquisitive fish, they may follow divers for complete dives but have been heavily overfished or spear-fished so are now rare and protected.

What you said is illogical.

Yes, whenever I see the letters "U" and "N", in consecutive order and capitalized, I get nauseous.

Did it survive being held up by its lungs (gills) and dangled in a hostile enviroment before being set free.

Of course ... his friends were all waiting for him, swimming around the boat, they were last spotted swimming off into the sunset.
