Notebook Hanging after a chkdisk =/

So, I restarted my computer and it was booting fine and then a chkdsk pops up so I'm like okay, I'll just let it load. After it's done, it restarts and I don't even see the windows load screen. I try last known good config, nothing happens. I'm trying safemode. It's hanging on the safemode boot. =( Any ideas? I don't feel like reinstalling =/ sigh

So it seems Safe Mode is stopping at NTFS.SYS.

I used my xp cd and booted into recovery mode and tried
chkdsk /p
fixboot
fixmbr

Same problem =(
