First of all, this guide is to show you the step by step way to stream media to your 360. There are 2 ways that I've used, and I will focus on one, but give guidence on the other.
The first way is using WMP11.
Open WMP11, and go to:
Library>Add to Library.

I added 2 folders manually, and they are:

'my Videos' folder, and a folder in 'my music', that I put songs in
this means that whenever I add media to these files they will get loaded into WMP11 automatically.
Now, I made myself a playlist in the music section of the library, in WMP11. If you dont know how to make a playlist, its really easy. Google it. This playlist is called varun, it will show up on the 360, under playlists in the music section.

Now, turn on your 360, while plugging it into your pc, or router. I have mine plugged into my d-link router. and the router is also plugged into my PC.
Lastly, go to Library>Meida Sharing. The tab is right under 'Add to Library'. Look at the thumbnail for adding folders and you'll see 'media sharing'.
Here you want to go to your 360, and allow it to access your media on your WMP11.

Now go to media and find your stuff on your 360.
Ex. Go to media, then go to music. Then computers, it should find your pc. Then, find a playlist or all the songs saved/loaded onto WMP11. Pictures also need to be added onto the WMP11 to be viewed. Just add the folder manually in the 'add to library' function.
It'll stream from your PC via WMP11. FOr videos, you can only stream WMV
To stream other kinds of videos use the TVersity method, which is the second way I've tried.
