I was just watching a doco about AIDS in Papua New Guinea.
At one stage the reporter comes across an old man in a market selling a cure.
Reporter: Is that a cue for AIDS?
Old Man: Yes.
R: What is it?
OM: It's the bark of a special tree.
R: And it cures AIDS?
OM: Yes.
R: How do you know it works?
OM: Because people buy it and I never see then again.
