Can Someone Give Me Some Advice!

I started up a clean system several weeks back. I installed half-life then counter-strike and it was taking like 15 - 25 seconds to get into a game. However weeks on it now takes 50 - 60 seconds to get into a game?? The connection hasnt changed, and im running all the same back ground programs. If any one could help that would be great.

When did you last defragment your harddrive?

I havent yet, I was thinking it could be that. Ill do that today.

Defragmented it but still nothing has changed!!
