Isn't that the old style Astra shape.

Why did I phrase the above statement like a question.

When I had been in my current job about two weeks, one of the directors who knew I was 'into computers' asked me why I thought their systems weren't very good.
When I told him the main problem was the Dell badge on the front, he scoffed, "says the man with a Daewoo!".
I replied that when I lift the bonnet of my Nexia I see a Vauxhall Astra with multipoint injection, ABS and airbags but when I lift the bonnet of a Dell I see... design flaws and poor specs.
He wasn't too impressed but I've been promoted since.

78' El Camino

Sweet. I've always liked the El Camino for some reason. I'd like to have one, but I've got enough money tied up in other vehicles as it is. I have a '95 Ranger that is a deer lease truck and needs new tires and a tune up, and an '86 Jeep Wrangler that has a cracked ring - burns oil like you've never seen. :pinch:

Agreed.

Buy a car, not a badge. Unfortunately the rest of the planet are idiots so it depreciates quicker, but then you know that in advance.

2000 Hyundai Accent, 5-speed. Sure, laugh at it if you want but I get excellent gas mileage and it cost me the same brand new as most used cars cost. In the 7 years I've had it (March 07 officially) it has never failed on me once. I get from A to B with no problems. All in all, it's held up well in all weather conditions.

I've not got a car at the mo; I did have a BMW 540i and sold it just before Crimbo as was not using it.
The best car I've ever had was a Rover P6 3.5
Only ever had one piece of shit and that was a Vauxhall cavalier 1.7 TD

I much prefer getting about on my mountain bike at the mo as have no real use for a car as everything is on my doorstep

What's funny, that's my transportation, keeps me fit and is non harmful to the environment. No, whats funny (and clearly you missed it) is that the thread topic title is, and I quote:
Car, Truck, SUV, or VanFFS  Invites_4_You (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/members/invites-4-you-134272) asks "What do you drive?" - a question intended for motorists supported by the topic title; but I guess some people just feel obligated to bring up the fact that there are some people (cyclists) who can't afford...I mean who don't wish to own a vehicle; therefore not being a motorist.
Pay him no mind, Grippy.

Hairbawls is teh h4r5h and likes nothing better than to chase people away from the board via the gift of ridicule

1980 Series 3 SWB Landrover :D

In car entertainment includes the 'What's that burning smell' game, the 'Guess what fell off on that last bend' game, and laughing at tall people travelling in the back when their heads hit the roof over bumps.

Air conditioning as standard (also known as 'Why don't door tops keep the weather out?') and a heater that does (almost) effectively prevent the icicles reaching the floor.

Biggest bonus is the way the engine scream and transmission howl drown out the sound of kids arguing behind me

I do love my Landy...

Funny, I always thought my van was FWD but today I was working on it and was looking at the muffler when I noticed I have a driveshaft.
I was like "WTF is that needed for in a FWD vehicle? Oh wait. :O"
