I voted Love It, but only because there's no "it's ok" option. They lack more active uploaders. I'd upload but my average speed is 60-70kB/s, and I doubt they'd let me.:( Oh well, we'll see how it is in a few weeks. Personally hoping for invitations to be added soon. just another site imo. and a few of the packs were stolen from sct, and edited a little to seem different. like the Quentin Tarantino pack they had up. i think its since been deleted, as the uploaded had the same username on sct, and the staff were informed of it. i hope all goes well for it, but so far nothing stands out that makes all the hype justified. nice design i must say.

It's definitely better than SCC, which I just got into. It does need more ACTIVE users, though. I'm not seeing much activity there. Maybe it's time to start pruning accounts. The pre-time database they seem to already have acquired should also be integrated into the torrents page ASAP, since they're doing a fine job with some releases and people should take note. A wider range of content - think the breadth of TL - associated with fast pre-times would make ScP a contender. As it is right now, it's good - particularly so for a new tracker -, but some work is certainly necessary.

You got it right. And it aint going to be the 2 gb freebie thats going to make a difference. People need leechers to seed to. New site + very small userbase + low amount of files = very low activity.

IMO, if you want to create a succesful tracker, you need to focus on specialized material, like Oink/TT/IT, BitMeTV, HDBits/Bit-HDTV, etc. It's not because they're low-rated in the "What invites are worth" thread that they suck, I use them the most.

Lots of the smaller sites you will find are up for user suggestions/comments.
Not alot of users take the time to give staff their opinions. Many times you notice they would rather give them a list of demands :D

Youll find that the communities that are very open on communication are ussually good communities to be a part of. Hopefully this site works on their communication and not only produces the files everyone seeks but the atmosphere to go with it. That would make it a top notch site as well.

I think the staff should have recruited a group to upload or create a bunch of packs prior to launch. I checked in on IRC to see how things were going last night and nobody was home. I applied to upload and hopefully more people will do the same. I think everyone is bashing the site, but has anyone uploaded something to help it out? I think that they are open to suggestions and have tried to make changes to get more people onto the site. Hopefully the latest attempt (Freeleech) will draw in a few more folks. Good luck guys

As for the rest, I also agree that ScP made some fatal mistakes:
1. It created too much hype for what it could live up too.. If you can prove the hype it works for you but if not everyone is disappointed it comes as a boomerang.
2. It seems that the team has not been created by a good and strong party...Results: staff leaving, too lazy uploaders etc..
3. Lazy and I mean lazy uploaders... 1-2 torrents per day ??:ermm:
4. Not a good elaborated plan on how exactly the site will be set up and what will its purpose be.. They wanted to do ANOTHER 0 day site as if there's not many out there.. And even then they didn't try to succeed neither on pres, nor content, nor freebies.. The only good effort were on some packs that were uploaded..
5. Again bad plan on how to get things started.. Too small number of users to get a site started (2000 and about half or maybe more of them just account holders :P ) .. Not even ONE freebie.. No freeleech no gigs upd no nothing.. They made better decisions about these thing later, when almost everything is over (I hope not..)... If you want ppl to use a site you have to give them some incentive...

Anyway it's a long discussion .. I hope the site does well after all and becomes a great site.. It just needs some more thinking and then acting..

Gotta agree with Moonspell....

From a marketing perspective, they generated a great buzz.
After all the hype and excitement, things have gone splat.
No doubt, lack of uploads, fast staff changes, and slow implimentation, amongst other things, have definately reduced consumer confidence.

Free leach should have been there from the beginning, just to get to get a flow going. By offering it now, they almost seem desperate.
