I usually open the sites which i want to take screenshot of, then press the Prt Scr key on the keyboard then open photoshop choose File->New-> Ctrl+V. Now you have the computer screen, crop the area you want, chose File -> Save as, put name choose extention as .gif or jpg and locate the directory you want to save to.

he means that when you press "PrtScn" a snap of your screen is added to your clipboard

then you have to paste this snap to a prog like msn paint

alternatively install hypersnap (which is what I do)

When you press 'print screen' the image is added to your clip board! To acces this pic, open any image editing program 'image editor' 'photoshop' ect and click 'paste'...hope this helps!!

ok, here is the fastest way:

1. install linux and beryl on your box
2. hold down the windows key and using your mouse cut around the part of the screen you want to make a picture of. when you release your mouse the screenshot is saved in .png format on your desktop.

talk about linux not being user friendly:).

My favorite is page saver. it's an extension for firefox and can be found here: http://pearlcrescent.com/products/pagesaver/
It's very handy, it sits right up there next to my search bar and I simply click it to take a pic. what I mainly love about is it that you can choose to capture full web pages or just the visible portion. I also use IrfanView: http://www.irfanview.com/ for whenever i need to crop or resize.
