Partition Or Not 2 Partition?

I have just installed a single 120 ata100 seagate, on a 1.8gg intell sys.

Does xp operate more efficent with or without the partition?

Any tips or tricks are apric8d

finished, I made 3 vol.s primary, media, and backup.

It does work a little faster.
